Summer Shipping for Clay Components

Each doll has a hand sculpted clay component, such as the faces and hands.

During the hot summer months, clay can cure in your mailbox very quickly. When you place an order, we will ship within 2 business days of your order. All orders are shipped by economy or priority mail which may take 2-4 days for domestic delivery. International shipping does take a bit longer. 

Economy and priority mail spends most of its time indoors at a post office or on aircraft and from there, taken to the post office for delivery. 

Please do the following:

Plan ahead! You will receive a notice of shipping with a tracking number, track your package so you will know when it is delivered. If you will not be home when your package is delivered, make arrangements with a family member, friend or neighbor to pick up your package ASAP to prevent the clay components from melting in your hot mailbox or under the hot sun. This will greatly reduce any accidental melt due to the summer heat. 

**Refunds will not be given on clay components that have melted while in route to its destination or left in your hot mailbox or hot temperatures. Handcraft, or affiliates, cannot be held responsible for clay components that have melted in a hot mailbox or on a hot porch. 

PRODUCTS:

The quality of each doll is important to us. The clay components for each doll have been cured and not exposed to heat or light after being cured. Keep in mind, each doll is shipped by economy or priority mail and it does not spend much time in ground transit. Any heat exposure will be from the package sitting in the mail cart during the carrier's rounds or sitting in a hot mailbox or your porch.


PRODUCT PRICING:

We offer high end items at competitive prices. Manufacturers periodically increase their prices and require their sellers to offer products at the
manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP). Not doing so can cause us to lose that product line.

Other things that can affect a price increase would be shipping increases, tariffs, or increases in component prices for each product, including yarn, clay, fabric, and other materials used to create or embellish each product. We are beginning to see the tariffs have an effect as well as the cost of labor and oil prices going up, businesses and shipping companies adjust their costs, and those costs are passed down to buyers like me. 
 
Should our prices increase, this would be the reason. 


GENERAL RETURN POLICY:

If you received damaged merchandise, please email us immediately at shop@handcraftusa.com. Please include a detailed description and pictures of the damaged merchandise.

CODS are not accepted.

All packages should be inspected immediately upon delivery. All claims for damages or shortages must be made within 3 days after receipt of shipment. Return postage fee is not reimbursed.

GENERAL SHIPPING POLICY:

All products will ship within 24 hours of receiving your order during business hours Monday - Friday, except holidays, Mountain Time. If you need to add anything, email us immediately. We always combine shipping as much as possible.


Please allow up to 10 business days for delivery on Domestic packages. Unfortunately, Handcraft does not have any control on delivery times, especially on international packages.

Please provide a valid name, email address, and phone number on all orders, or the order cannot be fulfilled.

We primarily use USPS Priority Mail and Ground shipping. We also may use Flat Rate shipping, UPS Ground and Standard, and FedEx Ground and Home Delivery shipping services. We do not charge a handling fee on our packages, only actual shipping rates.

 
DOUBLE CHECK YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS. EMAIL US IMMEDIATELY WITH ANY CHANGES.

We cannot be held accountable for items which are lost in the mail or returned to the shop because the package is undeliverable. We reinforce and secure each package as much as possible. All Domestic Priority and Flat Rate shipments have a tracking number. Once the package leaves our shop, it can be subject to weather delays or any other unforeseeable circumstances. In situations like this, it is necessary to file a claim with the carrier. 


INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Please read.

International customers are responsible for any customs fees collected by their postal service for the full value of the contents. If a package is missing, We will file a claim with the carrier for the full value of the package. We will not reduce the value of purchases. Customs fees are based on the total value of the contents of the shipment as well as the cost of shipping. International customers should check the fees with their postal service before making a purchase. 

Packages can take up to 4 weeks or longer to arrive depending on the destination and if a package is going by First Class mail or Priority. We strongly recommend Flat Rate Priority International shipping which takes up to 9 business days to 3 weeks to arrive depending on the destination country and customs inspection.

Please note, We cannot view a shopping cart until after it is paid for. If you have any questions on shipping, please email me. Once we receive your order, we will make any adjustments needed. 


GENERAL PRIVACY POLICY:

We do not share any customer information with any third party. Since We use a third-party payment service to process payments no credit card information is passed on to me. Shopping is safe and secure at making art dolls. 

We cannot see any shopping cart contents until after the order is paid for.
We may occasionally send an email on upcoming items or specials. If you do not wish to receive emails, just let us know to remove you and We will.
We will not distribute any email lists to anyone.
